I've been coming here since it was Al-Amir Cafe. The menu and management hasn't changed since then, just the name. I like that you can see the kitchen and watch your food being prepared. Everything is prepared fresh including the falafel which are formed and fried after you place your order. It seems to be family owned and operated, which is always a special thing to see. And everyone is friendly and hard-working.
Good portions. The grape leaves aren't the best, but everything seemed really fresh. The meat portion on our gyros was quite generous. Make sure to ask for extra tzatziki sauce! It is nice to have a different option for lunch near my office.
Best Mediterranean food in the area. Friendly staff and always same good taste.
The meats are on rotary spits. THey cut off pieces and then cook them on a flat top, to get them seared. Very good quality meats! The lamb was delicious with the rice.
